The Plain Folk Cafe is a gem of a venue hidden outside of the loop. Craft beers, a full menu of homemade soups, sandwiches, and desserts, and an outstanding audience every time. This is one of my favorite places to play, and tonight I get to host their open mic. I'll play a set from 7:30 to 8:00 pm before turning it over, and I'll close out with a few more later on.
